Will Sunday’s home opener be the next classic in a Bears-Bengals rivalry that is just brimming with great games? Our Bears podcast looked back on all of the nonsense from the Bears three yards or bust passing game against the Rams and looked ahead to their showdown with Joe Burrow’s Tiger gang.
And then Remember This Crap looked back through every matchup (all 11 of them) that the Bears have played against Cincinnati and found, that there’s a reason you probably don’t have a lot of lasting memories of any of them.
We did find some interesting stuff, including the frustrations the family of Batavia’s very own Ken Anderson must have had buying tickets to see him play close to home. And the parallels between the family ownerships of the Bears and Bengals are frustratingly apt. And, give the Bengals credit, they have had a pretty good knack for bunching their very few playoff wins.
Oh, and don’t miss the story about Chad Johnson mocking a Bears Hall of Famer with a mean, but very funny, end zone celebration.
