The Cubs took the first two games of this weekend’s series against the Barves, which makes them a red-hot 2-11 in their last 13 games, 7-17 in their last 24 games and 11-20 in their last 31. The series win is their first since May 16-18 against the mighty Pirates, and for the season they have won five of the 21 series they have played.
