Things are going great
As a great man once said (recently) "I just want this to be over."
Can we just pretend the season’s over already? What would you have really missed if you didn’t watch last week’s blowout loss to the Bills, yesterday’s blowout loss to the Lions (the Lions?) or whatever the hell the Bears and Vikings plan to do Sunday?
Nothing. That’s what you’d miss. Nothing.
Oh, I guess you’d have missed another great run by Justin Fields yesterday, one where he looked like he was about to hit that extra gear and score only to have his hips and hamstrings lock up on him. He spent the next ten minutes getting stretched and percussion messaged all while alternating between watching SpongeBob on his iPad and chatting with Nathan Peterman. “Man, we’re bad. This seems like a good game for you to play in.”
There are only so many ways to remind everyone that the Bears are this bad by design. You can’t daydream about how great it would be if the Bears were able to trade the number one overall pick in the draft for a big bounty of picks from some quarterback starved franchise, and get mad that the team on the field is ass. It’s literally the whole point.
