Shohei Ohtani is the best baseball player who has ever been a free agent and when you couple that fact with the fact that other than him this is a pretty meh free agent class, there’s going to be even more obsession about the status of his free agency than the insane levels that would have already existed.
The Cubs hoisted Bruce Levine off the couch he lives under on the Marquee set and sent him out to report that they are very interested in Shohei. The mere thought of Shohei in a Cubs’ uniform has the guys at Bleacher N(aggreg)ation in, “can’t get our hopes up” mode1.
